I am always accepting work for anything from headshots to events or commissioned fine art pieces, and I’d love to hear from you! Please use the form below to get in touch via email, or write me directly at ryanjae@alumni.stanford.edu.

I can work with any budget, and am committed to helping you realize your vision - the more crazy and creative, the better! I bring 10 years of continuous experience shooting in a variety of the most challenging and stressful environments for photography - from fast-moving jet fighters to the President landing in Air Force One, to running a football field sideline or hiding in bushes for a proposal. I do not miss the shot.

If we are shooting in a more relaxed environment, I always take that extra time to allow folks to settle into their comfort zone and we will shoot away until we get pictures you love. I always show my clients how photos are turning out on location, and I offer every shot to the client - which easily tops hundreds of images for an hour-long session. Retouching of each photo is included in my quote, and I can always work to achieve a specific editing aesthetic you may have in mind. Many competitors may only offer you a handful of edited pictures. I also offer printing packages at a discount for photoshoot clients, made using a fine art printer on archival paper (see more about this here). I am available to travel throughout the Northern California Region.

ABOUT ME

I was born in the Republic of Korea and grew up in Sacramento, CA since the age of 9 months. I graduated from Sheldon High School in 2015, where I was recognized as the first Intel Science Talent Search semifinalist from my school district for my research on induced pluripotent stem cells. I went on to Stanford University, where I am a member of the class of 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts and Science (B.A.S.) in the Art Practice+Computer Science, with focuses in Biocomputation and Photography.

When I’m not working, you will find me with my 4 year-old Siberian Husky named Asher (AKC titles: CGCU, TKI), trying to keep up with his zeal for adventure. I enjoy hiking, road tripping, and improving my horsemanship. I’m always trying to be outdoors and active, seeking connection with the views that give life its meaning.
